Britton Mosley, Sr. was born in Mississippi in the late forties and grew up during the civil rights era. In his early years, he became a strong civil rights advocate and attended many marches, boycotts, meetings, and various advocacy events. Later in life, he joined the Mississippi Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. During his almost eight years with MDOC, he was an advocate of prison reform and stood up against brutality and excessive forward toward inmates. Mr. Mosley has appeared on a television documentary and has hosted and appeared on many radio shows pertaining to the advocacy of prison reform. He currently resides in Texas.
